Hydralyte Electrolyte Ice Blocks Orange Flavoured relieves symptoms of dehydration and helps replace water and electrolytes lost due to vomiting, diarrhoea, heavy sweating, vigorous exercise and occasional hangovers.
Description
When to start taking Hydralyte; Hydralyte may be taken on the first signs of fluid loss due to vomiting and diarrhoea. Hydralyte may also be taken to help manage dehydration caused by heavy sweating, vigorous exercise, excessive heat or fluid loss due to illness.
Signs of mild dehydration; Sticky or dry mouth, increased thirst, decreased urine output, dark yellow urine, lethargy.
Dehydration due to:
- Heat
- Vomiting & diarrhoea
- Travel
- Vigorous exercise
- Strenuous activity
- Heat & excessive exercise at work
Directions:
- Place Hydralyte Ice Blocks in the freezer.
- When frozen cut open one end with clean scissors.
- Push the frozen Hydralyte Ice Block from the uncut end.
- Suck small amounts until consumed.
Hydralyte Ice Blocks may be consumed unfrozen, however, Hydralyte Ready to Use Solution is more convenient as a drink.
Recommended dosage for dehydration due to vomiting and diarrhoea.
Under 12 months, Recommended dosage: 1 x ice block every 60 mins, Max. Ice Blocks per day: 16.
1-3 years, Recommended dosage: 1 x ice block every 60 mins, Max. Ice Blocks per day: 24.
3-6 years, Recommended dosage: 1 x ice block every 30 mins, Max. Ice Blocks per day: 32.
6-12 years, Recommended dosage: 2 x ice block every 30 mins, Max. Ice Blocks per day: 43.
12-Adult, Recommended dosage: 3 x ice block every 30 mins, Max. Ice Blocks per day: 64. Dehydration due to other conditions.
Drink Hydralyte when thirsty or exhibiting the signs of dehydration. If signs of dehydration persist, consult your healthcare professional.
Warnings:
Be aware that. Dehydration due to vomiting or diarrhoea can be dangerous in babies and children under 5 years old and in elderly people. If you have a pregnancy-related condition, seek medical advice before use. If symptoms persist, seek medical advice.
Seek medical advice if vomiting or diarrhoea persists for more than: – 6 hours in infants under 6 months. – 12 hours in children 6 months – 3 years. – 24 hours in children aged 3-6 years. – 48 hours in children over 6 years and adults.
